What you actually get
A handler brings a bird to your seating and stays about twenty minutes. The bird goes on the glove for anyone in your group who wants it. You get your photographs without a queue behind you, and you get an explanation of what falconry is for rather than a caption.
Why it is worth adding
Almost every camp in Dubai has a falcon at the entrance for a photo. That is a different thing: ninety seconds, a queue, and a bird that has been handled two hundred times that evening.
The reason to add this is the conversation. Falconry is one of the few genuinely old things in a very new city, and a handler who is given twenty minutes will tell you things about it that no camp display has time for.
Who should skip it
Anyone whose group is mainly small children — they will want the camels and the sandboarding. And anyone who wants to see a bird fly: that needs open ground and daylight, so ask us about a daytime session instead.

Questions we get asked
How is this different from the falcon photo at the camp entrance?
The camp photo is a queue and ninety seconds. This is a handler coming to your seating for about twenty minutes, with the bird on the glove for whoever wants it and a real conversation about what the bird does.
Is it safe for children?
Yes, with the handler managing the bird throughout. Children old enough to stand still and listen get the most out of it; toddlers generally do not.
Do the birds fly?
Not at camp in the evening. A flying display needs open ground and daylight. If that is what you want, say so and we will arrange a daytime session separately.
Is it ethical?
Falconry in the Gulf is a licensed, regulated tradition and the birds here are working birds with handlers who keep them. Ask the handler anything — they would rather answer than have you wonder.
