A honeymoon safari is not a different desert. It is the same dunes with the crowd removed: your own vehicle, a sunset ridge nobody else parks on, and a table set away from the main camp.
If that sounds like a small difference, compare it with a shared tour, where your first hour is a minibus collecting strangers and your dinner is a bench.

If you have a free evening, book this.
If you have a free night, book the overnight safari instead. The two hours after the day guests leave — no generators, no music, the sky filling in — is the best thing the desert does, and no evening trip can give you it.

Flowers, a cake, a photographer, a musician. All possible, all quoted as separate line items rather than folded into a package, so you can pick one and skip the rest.
Timing across the year
November to March is the comfortable window. April, May and October are warm but fine once the sun drops. June to August the evening stays hot well past sunset, and we would rather tell you that now than have you discover it at the sunset stop.

Questions we get asked
How private is the sunset stop?
The ridge is held for your vehicle. You will see other vehicles in the distance across the dune belt, because it is a desert and not a private estate, but nobody parks alongside you.
Is the table really separate?
Yes, set away from the main camp area rather than at its edge. You can still walk over for the fire and the programme if you want to.
Should we do this or the overnight safari?
If you have one evening, this. If you have a whole night and you want the sky after the day guests leave, the overnight safari is the better honeymoon trip by some distance.
Can you arrange flowers, a cake or a photographer?
Yes, all three, quoted separately so you can see what each one costs rather than paying for a bundle.
Will there be a fuss made?
Only as much as you want. Tell us when you book. Some couples want the cake and the announcement; some want an evening where nobody mentions it.
