Legal
Terms and conditions
Booking terms for private desert safaris: what is included, your responsibilities, health restrictions on dune driving, liability, and the governing law.
Updated
TODO(legal review before launch): this document is a structured draft written to be completed by a UAE-qualified lawyer. Every section marked below needs real content, and the liability and governing-law clauses must not be published as drafted.
1. Who you are contracting with
TODO(registered legal entity name, trade licence number, registered address).
2. What a booking includes
What is included and excluded is listed on the page for the safari you booked, and that list forms part of these terms. Prices are per vehicle unless the page states otherwise, and every price is charged in AED.
3. Payment
A booking is confirmed when either a deposit or the full amount has been received. Where a deposit is paid, the balance is due on the day of the safari. Card payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store card details.
4. Cancellation and changes
Governed by the cancellation policy, which forms part of these terms. The free cancellation window applicable to your booking is the one shown on the safari page at the time you booked, and is recorded against your booking.
5. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate pickup details and a contactable phone number
- Be ready at the agreed pickup time
- Declare relevant health conditions before the dune drive (see section 6)
- Follow the driver-guide’s safety instructions, including wearing a seatbelt throughout the dune section
- Supervise children in your party at all times, including at camp
6. Health restrictions on dune driving
Dune driving is not suitable for anyone who is pregnant, or who has a back, neck, spinal or heart condition, or who is recovering from surgery. If this applies to anyone in your party, tell us and the dune section is replaced with a flat route to camp at no charge. No medical reason is required to opt out.
7. Our right to modify or cancel
We may change the route, the timings or the dune section, or cancel entirely, where conditions make a safari unsafe — including sandstorms, heavy rain, or route closures. In that event you are offered an alternative date or a full refund.
8. Liability
TODO(liability, insurance cover and limits, indemnities): must be drafted by a UAE-qualified lawyer and reconciled with the actual insurance policy. Do not publish a liability clause that the insurance does not support.
9. Photography at camp
Our guides may take photographs. If you would rather they did not, say so — it is recorded against your booking and respected. Where we use guest photographs in marketing, we ask first, in writing.
10. Complaints
Raise anything on the night with your driver-guide first. If unresolved, contact us on the details on the contact page.
11. Governing law
TODO(governing law and jurisdiction clause).
