One vehicle, one group
Every safari runs on a single 4x4 carrying your party and nobody else. Each vehicle seats six guests plus the driver-guide, so a group of twelve is two vehicles on one booking, travelling together.
Fitted as standard

Why maintenance matters more here
Dune driving is a harder duty cycle than almost anything a 4x4 does on a road. Sustained low-gear work in soft sand loads the transmission and the cooling system, sand is abrasive everywhere it gets in, and tyres are repeatedly deflated and reinflated.
The practical consequence is that service intervals are shorter than the manufacturer’s road schedule, and tyres are replaced on wear rather than on age. An operator running a road service schedule on a dune fleet is the one whose vehicle stops on a ridge.
Tyre pressure, specifically
At the entry point to the sand, the tyres come down — visibly, before you drive in. This is the most consequential thing that happens before a dune drive. Correct pressure widens the contact patch so the vehicle floats on the surface; road pressure digs in and gets stuck, and a stuck vehicle on a steep face is how incidents start.

Questions we get asked
How many guests does one vehicle seat?
Six. Larger groups book one vehicle per six guests on a single booking, which keeps the party together with one pickup window.
What vehicle will we actually get?

Are child seats available?
Yes, fitted before pickup at no charge. Tell us the ages of the children when you book so the right seats go in.
How are the vehicles maintained for dune driving?
Dune driving is much harder on a vehicle than road use, particularly on the transmission, the cooling system and the tyres. Service intervals are shorter than the manufacturer's road schedule for that reason.
Do you deflate the tyres?
Yes, at the entry point to the sand, every time, in front of you. Correct tyre pressure is what keeps the vehicle floating on the sand rather than digging into it, and it is the single most important thing a driver does before entering a dune belt.
