Why this is the trip most people actually want
The evening safari is the one everybody books, and it is also the one where the difference between private and shared is most obvious. A shared evening tour spends its first hour collecting six other parties from six other hotels, puts you on a bench with strangers at dinner, and leaves camp when the coach leaves.
This is the same desert, the same dunes, the same camp — run for one group at a time.
Who it suits
Families who do not want to be split across vehicles. Couples who want the sunset stop to themselves. Anyone who has done a shared safari before and remembers the waiting more than the dunes.

The part people underestimate
Dune driving is the headline, but the sunset window is short and it is the part you cannot redo. A private vehicle means you stop where the light is good rather than where the convoy stops, and you stay until you have the photograph.
Honest caveats
- Dune driving is not for everyone. If anyone in your group gets motion sick, say so at the brief and the driving is adjusted, not endured.
- The camp is shared infrastructure. Your table, guide and vehicle are private; the camel pen and the sandboarding slope are used by other guests too.
- Evening safaris run year round, but from June to August the heat means the pickup shifts later and the camp time is shorter.

How the trip runs
- 15:30Pickup from your hotel or residence. Your guide calls ahead so nobody waits in a lobby.
- 16:30Arrive at the dune belt. Tyres down, safety brief, then as much or as little dune driving as your group wants.
- 17:45Sunset stop on a ridge. No other vehicles parked alongside you.
- 18:45Arrive at camp. Your own table, not a shared bench.
- 19:15Dinner, then camel meet, sandboarding and henna at your own pace.
- 21:30Leave whenever you are ready. Drop-off at your door.
Questions we get asked
Is the vehicle really only for my group?
Yes. The 4x4 carries your party and nobody else, and the price is for the vehicle rather than per seat. If three of you book, three of you ride.
Can we skip the dune bashing?
Yes. Tell your guide at the safety brief and they will drive the flat tracks to camp instead. Nobody is waiting on you, because there is no group.
What if we want to leave the camp early?
You leave when you say so. The vehicle and guide are yours for the evening, so there is no shared coach departure to wait for.
Do you offer a no-music setup?
Yes. Ask when you book and the vehicle and your camp table are kept music-free.
How many vehicles do we need?
One vehicle seats up to six guests. Larger groups book more than one and travel together on a single booking with one pickup time.
